    January 9, 2024
    Accor Loyalty Program

Accor is unquestionably one of the world’s largest hospitality organizations, with a portfolio of over 5,100 properties and 10,000 F&B venues distributed throughout 110 countries. Its unique lifestyle loyalty program, ALL, keeps its customers pleased (an acronym for Accor Live Limitless). Read this blog to get details about Accor Loyalty Program. The business has announced additional rewards for its loyalty members, along with the hotel’s ALL SAFE program, which extends the best of safety and hygiene standards across Accor hotels. Know all the Accor loyalty program benefits now!

    Benefits Of Accor Loyalty Program

To begin, the attractive new offering allows members to earn redeemable loyalty points that can be spent at any of Accor’s 3,960 hotels around the world. Upgrades, premium experiences, shopping, and more can all be done with them. Additionally, status credits are being doubled to allow for faster tier upgrades, which means that until the end of the year, ALL members will earn double Status points and Status nights on all eligible stays.

    Elite Status With Accor

Accor has five different degrees of status, each with different rewards. Surprisingly, you can achieve status by completing a specific number of nights or by paying money at hotels. If you want to obtain Accor Live Limitless status this way, keep in mind that the needed spending is in euros.

When Classic Members join Accor Live Limitless, they retain their Classic status. Members at this level have access to private sales, online check-in, and quick check-out. The nicest aspect, like with all base levels, is that your Accor stays will earn you points (more on that later).

Silver (800 Euros Spent or 10 Nights)

After paying 800 euros or staying at least 10 nights, members obtain Silver elite status. You’ll earn the following benefits after you reach this level:

    • Check-in with priority
    • Check-out time is extended.

Gold Welcome Drink (2,800 Euros Spent or 30 Nights)

After spending 2,800 euros or 30 nights, Accor Live Limitless Gold status is attained. You’ll get all of the Silver perks plus the following:

    • When booking up to three days before check-in, you’ll get a guaranteed room.
    • Check-in early or check-out late

Platinum if Space is Available (5,600 Euros Spent or 60 Nights)

Platinum rank necessitates a total of 5,600 euros in hotel expenditure or 60 nights at a hotel. You will immediately receive two Suite Night Upgrades when you attain this status level, each of which can be used for one night. Up to 12 times each year, you can receive additional Suite Night Upgrades for every 4,000 Status points you earn. Check more about Accor Loyalty Program below.

The following are all of the additional benefits that Platinum members receive:

    • You can book up to two days before check-in and be assured of a room. In addition, you’ll have access to the Executive Lounge.

“Repeat business or behavior can be bribed. Loyalty has to be earned.”

Diamond Suite for One Night (10,400 Euros Spent)

To acquire Accor’s Diamond top-tier status, you must spend a total of 10,400 euros on hotel stays. It is not possible to acquire it through stays.

You’ll get the following extra bonuses at this level:

    • On weekends, a complimentary breakfast is provided.
    • Ability to give Gold status to someone else (four 25-euro Dining & Spa Rewards).
    • I expected more meaningful perks from this level, given how difficult it is to get Diamond status. Breakfast is only free on weekends, which is disappointing when compared to a program like Hilton Honors, which provides complimentary breakfast every day of the week to its mid-tier Gold elites.

How Do You Get Accor Points?

Having Accor points can come in handy with such a large hotel portfolio and so many fantastic properties. Accor Loyalty Program points can be earned in a variety of ways:

    Staying in a Hotel

Non-elite members earn 5-10 points for every 10 euros spent on approved hotel expenses. For every ten euros spent, elite members can earn up to 44 points.

Accor points have a fixed value of around 2.2 cents per point. That means you might get as little as 1% back on your Accor hotel stays or as much as 8.8 percent back.

    Reserve a Day Room

If you only need somewhere to rest throughout the day, Accor offers the option of booking a day room. This is especially useful for long journeys. When you reserve a day room, you have access to all hotel amenities, including the bar, sauna, pool, and gym. During your stay, you will also gain points.

In my testing, I discovered that day rooms are sometimes more expensive than simply purchasing a night at the hotel, thus it’s unclear why someone would choose this option.

There are a few more ways to earn Accor points, but they’re either highly obscure or irrelevant to the majority of us. You can, for example:

    • If you have a bank account in the United Arab Emirates, you can convert your rewards.
    • Visit a range of spas predominantly in France to earn points.
    • Take quizzes to earn a pitiful amount of points.
    • None of them are appealing or practical.

How Do You Use Your Accor Points?

Now it’s time to have some fun! There are thousands of Accor hotels in prominent locations around the world, but it isn’t the only way to redeem your points. Here’s a rundown of all the different ways you may use your Accor points:

Because Accor Hotels does not have a tiered award program, there are no “sweet spots” to speak of. Instead, the points you earn are worth a set amount of around 2.2 cents each for hotel stays.

This isn’t to say that collecting Accor points is a terrible idea; there are some fantastic offers to be found with Accor. Just keep in mind that your points will never be worth more than they are worth unless they offer a new redemption or promotion. It also means that Accor points can be more useful because you don’t have to worry about maxing out each point.

You don’t need enough Accor points to cover your entire hotel bill, but you must redeem at least 2,000 points at a time, which will get you 40 euros ($44.16 at the time of writing) off your stay. If you want to use them to pay for a hotel stay, you can do so by:

    • Logging into your online account and redeeming points immediately
    • Telling reception that you want to use your points for your stay when you check out.
    • Calling Accor and informing a Customer Service Representative that you want to book with points
    • Your points will be returned if you have to cancel your reservation.

It’s worth noting that the Accor loyalty program isn’t available at all Accor hotels. I couldn’t find a list of properties that aren’t part of the program, however, the website does indicate that points can be redeemed for:

“34 brands, 110 countries, 3,960 properties ranging from luxury to budget-friendly, resorts to homestays,” according to the company.

This appears to imply that approximately 1,500 hotels are not bookable using points, which is annoying. You’ll need to look for an imperceptible coin sign beside participating hotels to find them, so you might have to search them one by one.

    Onefinestay

Onefinestay, a luxury version of Airbnb that is only available in the world’s top destinations, allows you to exchange points for gift cards. Its residences and villas can be found in the United States, Europe, the Caribbean, Mexico, Central America, Asia, and Oceania.

These are awe-inspiring features. You’ll get 1.53 cents each point on average (dependent on the value of the Euro relative to the U.S. dollar). That’s a lot worse than using your points to book a stay at an Accor hotel.

    Miles on the Plane

Accor’s 33 airline relationships allow you to convert your points into airline miles at a variety of rates. If the value of an Accor point is more than or equal to 2.2 cents per Accor point, only transfer points to that airline. Airlines that serve as transfer partners include:

Aeroflot Bonus AeroMexico Club Premier Aegean Miles+Bonus

A few other airlines on the list have the potential to provide exceptional value, but these four stand out. You can transfer Accor points to Iberia at a 1:1 ratio, for example. A lie-flat business-class seat on Iberia from Chicago (ORD) to Madrid (MAD) can be booked for just 34,000 Iberia Avios, which is less than $2,000 in cash. That means each Accor point would be worth 5.88 cents.

    Products and Experiences

Accor points can be redeemed for unique experiences and engaging events in travel, sports, concerts, gourmet adventures, and more.

    Restaurants

You can use your points to pay for a meal at one of Accor’s restaurants. Even if you are not staying at the hotel, you can use your points at its bars and restaurants. For every ten euro charge, you can redeem 1,000 points.

    Transportation

    • You can spend your points to travel around Europe at the following rates:
    • Die Bahn: For 1,000 Bahn Bonus Points, redeem 2,000 Accor points.
    • Europcar: For 20 Euros, redeem 2,000 Accor points.

    Conclusion

The best thing Accor has going for them is its global portfolio of gorgeous properties. While Accor points are valuable (2.2 cents each), they have traditionally been tough to obtain. There is no co-branded credit card from Accor. Even with its most renowned elite status, it offers poor transfer rates from most of its partners, and collecting points through stays is slow.

Furthermore, because Accor is mostly based in Europe, anyone from the United States will have a tough time accruing points for free stays.
