Government traveler booking rateGo to website
OFFER APPLIED
Government travelers get discounted official rates with ID or work orders.
- IHG’s Government Rate is broader than many people expect.
- The official page says it is available to federal, state, county, and local government employees, as well as certain military personnel, defense or cost-reimbursable contractors, and even state-funded universities and healthcare facilities.
- The discount is a percentage off the Best Flexible Rate and varies by participating hotel.
- To receive it, travelers must present official identification or work orders at check-in; without that proof, the discount cannot be given.
- IHG also notes that blackout dates, room restrictions, and individual hotel policies can apply, and that the rate cannot be combined with other discounted promotions.
- For work travel or approved institutional travel, this is one of the more useful direct-book official rates published on the IHG site.
